Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including AP/AR, GL maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Lead accounts reconciliation processes for bank accounts, credit cards, and complex transactions
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Oversee tax preparation processes and ensure timely compliance with federal/state regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in remote/hybrid roles
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and Texas state tax requirements
- Proven experience with financial reporting, audits, and internal controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
