Responsibilities
- Manage month-end/year-end closing processes with GAAP compliance
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and variance reports
- Lead accounts payable/receivable operations for 500+ transactions daily
- Coordinate external audits and tax compliance documentation
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
- Support budget forecasting and strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance + CPA required (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in mid-sized firms
- Advanced Excel skills with Power BI/SQL proficiency
- Proven audit coordination and tax preparation expertise
- Experience with multi-state compliance regulations
- Strong analytical problem-solving with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- QuickBooks and SAP system certification a plus
