Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Enterprise and advanced Excel functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven ability to manage complex month-end close processes
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and internal controls
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments with competing priorities
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder reporting and collaboration
