Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead budgeting processes and variance analysis for department heads
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable workflows and process improvements
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews and tax filings
- Develop financial models and KPI dashboards for executive reporting
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement process enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks/Sage)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and automation tools
- Excellent communication skills and ability to cross-functionally collaborate
