- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and implement audit recommendations
- Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate data analysis
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize department workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines during month-end closes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
