Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and cash flow management
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial systems and processes
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews and ensure timely compliance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives
- Lead special projects including process improvements and system implementations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance requirements
- Proven experience with month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
