Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll preparation and ensure all withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures to provide insights for business decision-making.
- Record Keeping: Organize and maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience required. CPA certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze data and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism, ethics, and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
