Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify financial discrepancies.
- Support budget preparation and forecasting processes by providing detailed financial insights.
- Perform internal audits and process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy.
- Generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
