Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including FLSA.
- Process and reconcile payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual returns.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and time-off balances.
- Administer benefits programs, including 401(k) and health insurance, ensuring accurate deductions.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports to support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or Ceridian) is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax regulations in New Jersey and the United States.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
