Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees across 10+ states using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (FLSA, FICA, local ordinances)
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve garnishment/child support deductions
- Generate year-end reports (W-2s, 1099s) and assist in internal/external audits
- Implement and optimize payroll system upgrades and process improvements
- Act as primary liaison for payroll inquiries from employees and management
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and payroll databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR with 3+ years payroll experience
- ADP certification or demonstrable expertise in ADP Workforce Now
- Deep knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance (LA, TX, GA, FL)
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas)
- Proven experience with garnishment processing and tax filing
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail (<0.1% error tolerance)
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity
