Responsibilities
- Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and variance analyses.
- Month-End Close: Lead the night shift portion of the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all entries are posted and reconciled on time.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes adhere to GAAP standards and internal control procedures.
- Payroll & AP: Process and review accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure timely vendor payments and accurate customer invoicing.
- Data Integrity: Maintain the integrity of financial databases by auditing data entry and identifying discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with the day-shift team and management.
