Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records using QuickBooks or Xero.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and budget preparation.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end tax documents and financial statements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years of professional experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be available to work full-time hours.
