Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for commercial and consumer loan applications
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure appropriate credit terms and conditions
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (Regulation B, Fair Credit Reporting Act) and internal policies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and financial institutions
- Present credit recommendations to credit committee with clear rationale and supporting data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of credit risk metrics, cash flow analysis, and collateral valuation
