Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and insurance claim denials with 95%+ accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize revenue cycle workflows
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and billing system integrity
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with proven revenue cycle management expertise
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, or similar EHR/billing platforms
- Deep knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with 95%+ denial resolution rate
- Strong analytical abilities with experience in financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- BA/BS in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
