Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims for medical services rendered
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account inquiries within SLAs
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and identify outstanding balances
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding accuracy (ICD-10/CPT)
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial analysis
- Train staff on billing processes and system updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR billing systems
- Expert knowledge of insurance claim workflows (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial)
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Strong analytical skills for identifying billing trends and anomalies
- Excellent written/verbal communication with patients and insurers
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
