Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement
- Prepare and submit accurate tax filings and ensure compliance with GAAP and federal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain audit readiness
- Lead accounts payable/receivable operations and optimize cash flow management
- Maintain and improve financial systems with proficiency in QuickBooks and ERP platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate finance teams
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and accounting software (Sage, NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal audit procedures
