Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage incoming and outgoing payments, process invoices, and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Update and maintain the company's general ledger system, recording financial transactions accurately.
- Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
- Expense Analysis: Review and analyze expense reports to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues efficiently.
- Availability: Must be available for immediate start and occasional overtime during peak periods.
