Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Bookkeeping: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure the company remains compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for financial process improvement and implement efficient solutions.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and tax filings as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong ability to spot discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
