Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconciliation: Perform accurate bank and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Compliance: Ensure all tax filings and regulatory requirements are met timely and accurately.
- Audit Support: Assist external auditors during the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Cost Analysis: Monitor budget vs. actuals and provide variance analysis reports to management.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or EA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP is required; Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is essential.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
