Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare budget forecasts and financial reports for management.
- Ensure all accounting practices adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
