As an Accountant at Apex Financial Partners, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our clients and internal operations. You will manage core accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide insightful financial analysis to drive business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filings.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Conduct routine audits of financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Valid CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
