Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with precise analytical commentary
- Conduct comprehensive reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and balance sheet accounts
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Optimize accounting processes using ERP systems and automation tools
- Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with GAAP compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks/ERP systems
- Proven ability to manage month-end/year-end closing processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial data to stakeholders
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and financial reporting
- Ability to thrive in urgent, deadline-driven environments
