Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Perform internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Assist in the budgeting process and provide financial forecasting and analysis.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
