Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax documents and support external audit requirements.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop, monitor, and control departmental budgets.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide financial insights to leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial analysis.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is highly preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly.
