Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor management and customer billing.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly variance analysis to ensure budget compliance.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with management to develop and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct internal audits and implement necessary controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
