Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to identify discrepancies.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure internal controls are effective and policies are followed.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecast financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and GAAP principles.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
