Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements and variance reports
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation
- Oversee budgeting processes and forecast financial performance
- Ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations and internal controls
- Collaborate with auditors during financial examinations
- Develop and implement efficient financial workflows
- Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling and analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations (NM state compliance)
- Proven ability to manage month-end/year-end close processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and cross-departmental collaboration abilities
