Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and provide compliance guidance on evolving tax regulations
- Assist with tax planning strategies to optimize client financial outcomes
- Perform audits and reviews of financial records for accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with senior team members on complex tax cases and special projects
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte) for efficient processing
- Maintain client relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting or corporate tax
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and Florida tax codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Florida CPA license or eligibility to obtain within 6 months
