Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, variance reports, and KPI dashboards
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Lead tax preparation activities and maintain relationships with external auditors
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and ensure adherence to internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Proven ability to manage month-end closes and complex reconciliations
- Experience with tax preparation and audit coordination
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
