Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for diverse workforce across multiple states using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (CA, NV, OR)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and benefit enrollments with precision
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in real-time
- Generate payroll reports for leadership and external auditors
- Collaborate with HR on timekeeping system integrations
- Lead year-end closing processes (W-2s, 1099s, 401k reconciliations)
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of sensitive employee data
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- ADP certification or equivalent payroll system proficiency
- Deep knowledge of CA labor laws and payroll tax compliance
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- PHR/SPHR certification strongly preferred
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines with 100% accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
