About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage our financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support our growth strategy. This is a hands-on role requiring proficiency in modern accounting software and a proactive approach to financial management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Process payroll accurately and on time in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and quarterly tax estimates.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to management to support decision-making processes.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are recorded correctly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Xero accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
