Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely billing and payments.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Collaborate with department heads to assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to streamline financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
