Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure full compliance.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure all financial data is accurately recorded and reported in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
