Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correct and balanced.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in external and internal audits, ensuring all documentation is organized and compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll functions to ensure accuracy and timely distribution.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the accounting department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software; strong Excel skills required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
