Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end closing
- Analyze financial data to generate accurate reports and forecasts for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific accounting standards
- Lead internal audits and implement process improvements for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives
- Maintain meticulous financial records using QuickBooks Enterprise and SAP
- Prepare tax documentation and liaise with external auditors during reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate settings
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax codes, and SOX compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting and analysis projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication abilities for stakeholder presentations
- Experience with multi-state accounting operations
