Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage and oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to maintain accurate financial records and generate reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for the organization.
- Ensure all financial data is backed by proper documentation and adheres to company policies and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proven proficiency with accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
