Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and ledger accounts.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor statements, and ensure timely payments while managing customer collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll data and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies and GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero is required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when working with numbers and financial data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Excel Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is a plus.
