Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Financial Operations: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Expense Management: Review and approve expenses, maintaining strict adherence to company budgets and policies.
- Support & Training: Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounting processes and provide guidance to junior staff when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage, as well as Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure high accuracy in all financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders effectively.
