Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist in budget forecasting.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for financial records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification or CPA candidacy is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment.
