We are looking for a highly skilled Accountant to join our Finance team in Denver, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for the accuracy of financial records, preparation of tax returns, and ensuring compliance with all local and federal regulations. Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds to all employees.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and ensuring adherence to financial controls.
- Budgeting: Support the budget preparation process and monitor spending against financial plans.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Licensure: CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory for immediate consideration.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (Advanced), and other accounting software packages.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and errors.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
