Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage accounts payable, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure cash balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and supporting schedules.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of payroll data and ensure tax filings are completed accurately.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and team members.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex financial issues and provide sound recommendations.
