Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) in strict compliance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations for bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure all documentation is organized.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Streamline internal financial processes and recommend improvements for efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification or CMA designation preferred but not mandatory for experienced candidates.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling and cost accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
