Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliations
- Resolve billing discrepancies and complex payment issues with clients and internal stakeholders
- Analyze financial data to identify process improvements and revenue leakage points
- Maintain compliance with healthcare/finance billing regulations (HIPAA/FERPA as applicable)
- Collaborate with accounting and sales teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Generate monthly billing reports and KPI dashboards for leadership review
- Train junior staff on billing systems and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of billing or accounts receivable experience in a regulated industry
- Expert proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, Cerner) or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Certified Billing Specialist (CBS) or Revenue Cycle Management certification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in data analysis and pivot tables
- Proven ability to resolve complex billing disputes and manage high-volume transactions
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA billing regulations and compliance protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
