- Resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials within 48 hours
- Reconcile accounts receivable statements monthly
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients
- Generate monthly billing reports for leadership review
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient billing records
- Train staff on billing updates and procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS-1500 forms
- Proficient in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in high-volume setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of NM Medicaid and commercial insurance plans
