Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure timely filing with state and federal authorities.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with department heads to budget for upcoming fiscal periods and track variances.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure all payroll tax filings are up to date.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder reporting.
