Role Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations. You will play a key role in our monthly close process and assist in budget analysis.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Support the budgeting process by providing data analysis and forecasting support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial documentation and filing systems.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 2+ years of proven experience in accounting or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
