Responsibilities
- Prepare individual and business tax returns using industry-leading software
- Conduct client interviews to gather financial documentation and identify tax-saving opportunities
- Research complex tax regulations and apply them to client scenarios
- Communicate tax strategies clearly to clients through written reports and consultations
- Collaborate with senior associates on tax planning and compliance projects
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure adherence to IRS guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Willingness to pursue CPA certification (company provides study support)
- Valid NYS driver's license (client visits required)
