Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax situations, answer inquiries, and provide strategic tax planning advice.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations.
- Review financial statements and perform variance analysis to support tax planning initiatives.
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte) efficiently to manage large volumes of data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse clients and team members.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
