Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow to evaluate credit risk for loan applications.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential borrowers and existing accounts.
- Monitor credit utilization and issue credit limit increases or decreases as warranted.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and presentations for the credit committee.
- Identify trends in delinquency and recommend strategies to mitigate risk.
- Maintain accurate records in the company’s loan management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Collaborate with the sales and underwriting teams to ensure loan quality and profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or commercial lending.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and ERP systems.
- Deep understanding of financial ratios, credit scoring models, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
