Responsibilities
- Prepare and file complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning advice to minimize liabilities
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and quarterly reviews
- Collaborate with audit teams to resolve tax discrepancies and ensure compliance
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess) for accurate documentation
- Stay current with evolving tax regulations and IRS guidelines
- Mentor junior associates on tax preparation best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Deep expertise in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation
- Proficient with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
